报告摘要: Nuclear security is one of the important elements in the 3S concept that has been adopted internationally to ensure a smooth and proper use of nuclear technology in the 21st century. In this lecture, we will take an overview look at the objectives and goals of nuclear security; the interfacing between nuclear security and the other 2S, namely safety and safeguards; international framework and initiatives to improve level of nuclear security worldwide; some concerns that nuclear security is trying to address; systematic approach to design and implementation of nuclear security in a facility; and several key concepts that can be used in the design. By the end of the lecture, the importance of having and maintaining a good nuclear security should be clear to all. 报告人简介: Phongphaeth Pengvanich, Assistant Professor, Head of Department of Nuclear Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.
