王来曦教授简历
Dr. Lai-Xi Wang earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences. During his graduate study, he spent 3 years at Japan's Institute of Physical & Chemical Research (RIKEN) learning the art of oligosaccharide synthesis. He did his postdoctoral studies with Prof. Y. C. Lee in glycobiology at Johns Hopkins University, then with Prof. Graham C. Walker in biochemistry and molecular biology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Dr. Wang joined the faculty of the Institute of Human Virology as a tenure-track assistant professor in 2000, and was promoted to associate professor in 2005. His research expertise is in bioorganic chemistry, synthetic carbohydrate chemistry, and glycobiology.
Dr. Wang is also an executive editor for special issues for the journal Current Pharmaceutical Design (Bentham Science Publishers, USA). Dr. Wang was the recipient of the 2004 Young Investigator Award from the Division of Carbohydrate Chemistry, American Chemical Society.
