At this talk professor Whyte will introduce her school and centre, talk about what is meant by good PhD research in this context, as well as a sample PhD research (which covers methods, pilot study, main findings, how it addresses aims of the Centre, plans for write-up, journal paper plans etc). She will also discuss about whether/how expectations are different in the UK and China, and the role of supervisor and student in setting directions. Her research interests are in the organization of digital design and delivery on megaprojects.
