Dr. Brian Fleck Ph.D. P.Eng. is an undergraduate alumni of the University of Alberta, finished a Diploma at the Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics (Brussels, Belgium), MSc at Laval University (Quebec City, Canada) and Ph.D. at Queen's University (Kingston, Canada). His Ph.D. work was Combustion studies on low NOx natural gas burners.

Dr Fleck currently studies fluid mechanics, mixing, the phase flow, and effervescent and flashing atomization. He is currently a full professor and Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta.
