The area of pseudorandom generators for low degree polynomials over small finite fields, and in particular over F_2, have had much progress in the previous year. A sequence of three works, by Bogdanov&Viola, Lovett, and Viola, have each improved the previous one, and presented new ideas and techniques. I will present the main ideas in these works and some of the technical tools used.

Shachar Lovett is a Ph.D student for Computer Science in Weizmann Institute in Israel, under the guidance of Prof. Omer Reingold.
