    克劳斯•迈因策尔(Klaus Mainzer)教授是享誉世界的德国著名科学的哲学家和享誉世界的科学理论家。 他1973年获明斯特大学博士学位,曾任教于明斯特大学、康斯坦茨大学、奥格斯堡大学,现为慕尼黑工业大学(TUM)科学哲学中心主席,卡尔•林德学会主任,并同时担任德国复杂性系统和非线性动力学学会主席、德-日综合科学学会主席等职务,以及《International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos in Applied Sciences and Engineering》(Singapore: World Scientific)、《Advanced Science Letters》(American Scientific Publishers)和《Kant-Studies》(Berlin: De Gruyter)等多个国际期刊的编委。曾在巴西、中国、印度、日本、韩国、俄国、美国和欧盟等多个国家客座访问,其著作也被翻译成多国文字。
    迈因策尔教授的研究范围遍及数学、物理学和科学哲学,尤其在复杂系统、非线性动力学等领域多有建树,其代表作《复杂性中的思维》(中文版由曾国屏教授译出,年内将由上海辞书出版社出版新版中译本)、《大自然的对称性》、《对称与复杂:非线性科学的魂与美》等。

Prof. Dr. Klaus Mainzer studied mathematics, physics, and philosophy (1968-1972), Ph.D. (1973) and habilitation (1979), assistant and lecturer (1973-1979) at the university of Münster; Heisenberg-scholarship (1980); 1981-1988 professor for philosophy (foundations of exact sciences) at the University of Constance, vice-president of the university of Constance (1985-1988); 1988-2008 chair for philosophy of science, dean (1999-2000), director of the Institute of Philosophy (1989-2008) and of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Informatics (1998-2008) at the University of Augsburg; since 2008 chair for philosophy of science and technology, director of the Carl von Linde-Academy, member of the advisory board of the Institute of Advanced Study and the excellence research cluster CoTeSys (Cognition in Technical Systems) at the Technical University of Munich; member of several academies and interdisciplinary organizations (e.g., European Academy of Sciences/Academia Europaea in London, Daimler-Benz Foundation, BMW Foundation), president of the German Society of Complex Systems and Nonlinear Dynamics, president of the Japanese-German Society of Integrative Science (acatech), coeditor and board of scientific journals: e.g., International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos in Applied Sciences and Engineering (Singapore: World Scientific); Advanced Science Letters (American Scientific Publishers); Kant-Studies (Berlin: De Gruyter); guest-professor in Brazil, China, India, Japan, Korea, Russia, USA, and the European Union.
