Abstract: After the discovery of the Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider, high energy physics is at an historical moment. The on-going operation of the LHC will continue to explore the energy frontier in the coming decades. At the same time, strategies for next steps beyond the LHC are being formulated. This includes, for example, the proposal of the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) in China. I will give an overview of the current status of high energy physics, and discuss possible future directions.
