From Bush to Obama: What are the new  Plans and How Does Presidential "Transition" Work?

When President-Elect Obama becomes President on January 20, 2009, the US Government will make the “transition” between Presidents of different political parties.

With economic crisis, continuing conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan, climate change and other critical challenges for the world community, who does the planning for this Presidential transition and what possible policies are being planned?

These questions will be addressed, with Q and A, by experts from the US and China, including experts from the Center for American Progress, a Washington DC think tank which has been analyzing policies the Obama Presidency may choose and offering suggestions for the incoming administration. The Center's experts will discuss their first-hand experience in planning and executing Presidential transitions and will discuss the soon to be released book Change for America – A Progressive Blueprint for the 44th President.
