内容简介:

This lecture focuses on five essential aspects of engineering education that must be incorporated into the training of future engineers in order to better prepare them for the challenges they will face in their jobs. The next generation of engineering pedagogy must (1) prepare students to have global competency, (2) train students in teams that work, (3) use open-ended, multi-disciplinary problems with no one correct answer, (4) have professors with more industry experience, and (5) instill a compelling need for professional integrity. Each of these aspects will be discussed in detail. 

报告人简介:

Wisler博士是世界航空发动机领域的著名专家,美国工程院院士,清华大学客座教授,现任美国机械工程协会(ASME)副理事长,美国航空航空学会会员,两次获得国际燃气轮机大会(IGTI)年度最佳论文,唯一三次获得美国机械工程学会Melville奖章的学者。近年来,Wisler博士关注新一代工程师的培养教育工作。此次的演讲曾作为大会特邀报告在今年的国际燃气轮机大会(IGTI)上收到了强烈反响。
