Chanan Singh, 1997年获加拿大萨斯喀彻温大学博士学位，现为美国德州农机大学电机与计算机系教授，曾任该系系主任，IEEE Fellow，担任Electric Machines and Power Systems， International Journal of Emerging Electric Power Systems (IJEEPS)和IEEE Transactions on Power Systems等多个期刊的编辑。
