The battery research at WZL/PEM RWTH Aachen University is focused on measures to reduce production costs and enable product innovation. The speech will introduce main research projects from the development of a battery pack for remanufacturing up to the setup of a centralized control center for the battery production. Prof. Burggräf will share insights alongside the entire battery product lifecycle and value-added chain. He will also tell the success story of how Aachen professors and students transferring the know-how into practice: founded two e-mobility OEMs.
