环境学术沙龙第515期 题目: Air pollution, Health, the Taj Mahal and “Battery Acid” 主讲人:Prof. Armistead G. Russell,Howard T. Tellepsen Chair and Regents Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech. He was an Associate Editor of the journal Environmental Science and Technology. He currently co-directs the Southeastern Center for Air Pollution and Epidemiology 主要研究领域:His research interests cover Air Pollution Modeling, Health Effects of Air Pollutants, Aerosol Dynamics, Atmospheric Chemistry, etc. He has been honored by many awards, including Fellow of American Society of Mechanical Engineering, National Associate of the National Academies, etc. 摘要:While it may be hard to see how Health, the Taj Mahal and Battery Acid all fit together, they do because of air pollution. Air pollution is the largest contributor of environmental factors to premature death from non-communicable deaths, Soils the Taj Mahal, and, as recent studies show, the small aerosol particles are more acidic than battery acid. They all can also be addressed by utilizing advanced methods to identify the sources that lead to the problems at hand. 时间:8月14日下午 15:00-16:30 地点:环境节能楼 311会议室
