简介:
摘要: Ultracold atoms trapped in optical lattices provide an ideal test bed for quantum information processing applications. They have several distinguishing features like versatility of setup, large degree of controllability of the system parameters, and extremely long coherence times. Exploiting these properties I will show how to engineer and measure multipartite entangled states which form a basic building block in quantum computing. I will discuss methods for efficiently creating graph states which are used in one-way quantum computing. I will present an efficient algorithm for engineering arbitrary graph states in optical lattices and investigate the robustness of this protocol. This will be followed by a discussion of entanglement detection and characterization networks. Such networks allow the unambiguous identification of multipartite entangled states in an optical lattice with relatively modest experimental effort. In particular I will show that no spatial resolution of different lattice sites is necessary and small errors in atom density measurements can be tolerated
