题目:Stochastic Path Optimization for Robotic Bees using Cloud Computing
摘要:We study the problem of dynamic routing of robotic bees towards the hive, with the intended purpose of minimizing the time it takes for all the bees to arrive at the destination. Due to uncertainty in position measurements, the stochastic problem cannot ensure collision-free paths.  Cloud computing is assumed when bees have antennas that can sense the hive signals, and we explain the challenges in estimation and control in order to successfully guide the robotic bees.

题目:Analysis of Markov Influence Networks
摘要: Since the early paper by Paul Schweitzer on perturbation analysis published in 1968, perturbation analysis of Markov chains has attracted much attention in the literature. Unfortunately, known perturbation bounds are rather limited in their range of applicability. Specifically, the relative error of the known perturbation bounds fails to tend to zero as the size of the perturbation tends to zero. We will introuduce a new bound that overcomes this drawback. We illustrate our findings by means of a realistic application to a problem in queuing.
