Abstract: A field theory description is proposed which is capable of describing
a charged spin 3/2 particle, such as the Delta resonance. The required
wave function belongs to reducible representation of Poincare group,
and physically corresponds to unified theory of multiple particles,
namely the proton and the Delta are described as part of a single
multi-particle equation. The resulting theory does not suffer from the
Velo-Zwanziger superluminal propagation and the physical propagator is
shown to be causal and leads to a unitary S-matrix. |
