第281期“工物学术论坛” 报告题目:The challenges of the CMS phase-2 tracker upgrade 报 告 人:Pascal Vanlaer Professor of ULB 报告时间:2018年6月12日下午14:00 报告地点:清华大学刘卿楼402 主 持 人:王义,教授
报告摘要: The tracker of the CMS experiment at the LHC will be completely replaced to cope with the very high luminosity conditions of the HL-LHC. The upgraded tracker will provide tracking data at the first, hardware-based, trigger level (L1 trigger) to maintain the physics potential of CMS. The detectors are designed to sustain high radiation doses. The baseline technical solutions envisaged by the CMS collaboration will be presented, and their performance will be discussed, based on the results of prototype tests and of simulations.
