The development of ZEKE spectroscopy is described as a high resolution
method for the study of energy levels of molecular cations down to
rotational states. I will review how the original concept developed towards
the understanding of the ultra-long lifetime of very high-n Rydberg states.
Examples of high-resolution spectra of molecules and molecular clusters will
be analysed. |
