CURRENT Research topics
My specific interests and research activities are:
Fundamental immunology:
My work relates to development, homeostasis and function of T cells, with a special focus on regulatory T cells (Treg).
Physiopathology:
My own work relates to the role of Treg cancer and infection. In collaboration, I study the role of Treg in autoimmunity.
Therapy:
Cell Therapy: My work on the pathophysiology of cancer and auto-immune diseases led me to conceive and develop various biotherapies. I am currently the PI for an ongoing clinical trial investigating Treg ablation for metastasis of colorectal cancer.
Gene Therapy: I have had an important activity in gene therapy of cancer, which I now pursue in collaboration.
Vaccination: Our work on gene therapy vectors led to the development of vaccine vectors that are now used for preventive and therapeutic vaccines against different infectious diseases (HCV, HIV and Flu). |
