Abstract The Center for Molecular Devices (CMD) is a joint KTH/Uppsala University research center currently mainly devoted to dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs).12 The core of the research network involves 5 research groups and is headed by Prof. Anders Hagfeldt, Uppsala Univ./KTH and in total engages about 30-35 co-workers, of which the majority are PhD students and post-doctoral fellows. The network performs research within all aspects of DSCs, from new materials, new components, assembly into working cells, detailed photoelectrochemical analysis coupled to fundamental understanding at a molecular level, as well as up-scaling and pre-industrialization efforts. The KTH groups include Prof. Licheng Sun, Organic Chemistry also associated with Dalian Univ. of Technology, who is involved in research concerning new sensitizing dyes, new organic redox systems, as well as intense research on the related field of solar fuels. The group of Prof. Lars Kloo is focused on the electrolyte systems, liquid and solid, as well as the electrode interfaces. More details on the CMD activities will be given in the presentation. |
