Students/Publications/Scientific Presentations:
 
Professor Shea’s research interests are in synthetic and mechanistic organic chemistry and polymer and materials chemistry. He has mentored over 120 graduate and postdoctoral students at the University of California. In addition, over 60 undergraduates have been associated with his research program.  Professor Shea and his students have published over 260 manuscripts, presented 175 papers at various scientific meetings and symposia. He has been awarded 7 US Patents. He has given over 325 invited and plenary lectures at international symposia, academic and industrial institutions.
