Martin Ince is a freelance journalist and media adviser based in London, and founder of the THES/QS World University Ranking. He works as a science and education journalist and media trainer, advises universities on international rankings, and works as a communications adviser to UK and European organisations. He is the author of nine books including The Rough Guide to the Earth, The Politics of British Science and Conversations with Manuel Castells. His writing has appeared in many publications including The Times, the Financial Times and the New Scientist.
