  简介:
I review recent experimental and theoretical advances in the problem of superconductivity in low dimensions, heterostructures and Josephson arrays of nanograins of conventional and high temperature superconductors. As a guiding principle the talk focuses on theoretical mechanisms and experimental settings that can exploit quantum size effects to boost superconductivity in low-dimensional systems.
个人简介:
Prof. Antonio M. García-García got Ph.D in Physics from SUNY at Stony Brook in 2002. His current research interests are strongly correlated systems, AdS/CFT in condensed matter physics, superconductivity and mesoscopic physics. He is a staff member in Theory of Condensed Matter Group, Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge University and Invited Professor, Institute Superior Tecnico, Portugal now.He has published 42 papers including 1 Nature Materials, 7 Phys. Rev. Lett. and has delivered 28 speakers in international meetings.
