Over the last ten years, ASIC design has played an increasing importance in particle or astro-particle physics experiments. The progress of ASIC technologies has brought more performance highly integrated readout electronics, or "system on chip", enabling new and more performance detectors. To tackle complex chip design, teams with critical mass is a key ingredient and IN2P3 has created "microelectronics poles" to mutualize the design expertise, OMEGA for the Paris region. The team has designed several multichannel ASICs in SiGe 350nm BiCMOS that readout photomultipliers, gaseous or semiconductor detectors for experiments at CERN, DESY, KEK, JAXA.
