I have been working with heterogeneous catalysis for many years and have good knowledge in the field. Presently, I am doing research in an area that comprises issues of power generation systems, especially issues of sustainable energy production from combustion of biomass and waste. These include understanding of ash forming, mitigation of corrosion, and control of emissions. I have been participating/leading some projects on both a lab scale reactor and a full scale boiler studies. The typical full scale testing boilers include both fluidized bed and grate combustions. Examples are the research boiler at Chalmers, commercial boiler in TekniskaVerken in Linköping and commercial boiler in Fortum in Stockholm.
· Currently share supervision for 3PhD students and 2 master students.
· I have taken part in the supervision of students, project workers, master students, and bachelor students.
· Laboratory supervision in different basic chemistry and environmental science courses during 1998 and 2005 for Gothenburg University, in different occasions.
· The Swedish Royal Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), twice for scientist exchange
· Chalmers, Area of Advance, Energy, Project title: Samarbete med Tsinghua University runt samförbränning
· Chalmers, Area of Advance, Material, Cooperation with Tsinghua University
