  简介:
The heavy-ion collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are expected to generate the partonic matter with unprecedented density and temperature. It will provide an ideal environment to study the quantum chromodynamics (QCD), the theory of the strong interaction, in yet unexplored kinematic domain and the effect of high-density QCD matter on the particle production. The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at LHC is excellent for not only p+p collisions, but also heavy-ion collisions. The CMS has collected about 8 inverse microbarn in 2010 and about 160 inverse microbarn in 2011 for PbPb collisions. The improved statistics allow us to analyze various rare probes as well as the bulk properties in detail. In this presentation, we will review the quarkonium production via the dimuon-decay channel in PbPb collisions at 2.76 TeV from CMS. The data includes prompt and non-prompt J/psi's and upsilon families. All quarkonium data in central PbPb collisions show suppressions with respect to those in pp collisions. The experimental data are compared to the model calculations.
