  简介:
We investigate supercritical multicomponent reactive fluids.
The corresponding models involve nonideal thermochemistry as well as
multicomponent diffusion driving forces proportional to chemical potential gradients.
The structure of the corresponding system of partial differential equations is
analyzed and asymptotic stability of equilibrium states is established.
Numerical simulations are presented to illustrate the influence of nonidealities
in cold mixing layers as well as in the structure of supercritical hydrogen flames.
 
Professor Vincent Giovangigli received his PhD in Applied Mathematics in 1982 and
Habilitation in 1988, both from University Paris 6.
His main research interests focus on mathematical modeling of multicomponent
reactive flows. He is in the editorial board of Combustion Theory and Modeling.
He has published 2 books and more than 70 papers.
In 2011, he received Jacques-Louis Lions prize awards from
the French Academy of Sciences.
