Dr. Liu currently is CEO of LIDAR Technology Co., Ltd., and also the Secretary General, Taiwan Group on Earth Observations. He has worked as head of department and senior research scientist in the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) for more than 33 years, specializing in remote sensing, aerial photo-interpretation, geological mapping, soil mapping, geohazrd assessment, minerals, hot spring, landslides, land subsidence, coastal zone mapping, photogrammetry, highway corridor feasibility, flooding, watershed sedimentation, and so on.
