  简介:
The 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Peter Higgs and François Englert for theoretical prediction of the so called Higgs boson, from which mass of all fundamental particles would originate. The Higgs boson was finally discovered in 2012 at CERN (Switzerland), ending a 50-years long quest.
In the framework of the 50th anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic relationships, the French Embassy in China wishes to celebrate this great event by proposing a seminar on this discovery.
In this seminar designed for a wide, non-specialized audience, Jessica Leveque and Lianliang Ma will explain what the Higgs boson is, and how CERN’s quest was finally successful, and how the collaboration of French Chinese particle physicists contributed to this great result.
