讲演摘要
The eXpressive Internet Architecture defines a single network that offers inherent support for communication between multiple communicating principals--including hosts, content, and services--while accommodating unknown future entities. XIA also offers intrinsic security in which the integrity and authenticity of communication is guaranteed. In this talk I will first give a short overview of the XIA architecture and I will then talk about several ongoing research efforts, including research on evolvable networks, mobility, network control plane architecture, planned XIA deployments, and the use of XIA as a foundation for future internet architecture research.
讲演者简介
Peter Steenkiste is a professor of Computer Science, and Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. He received a degree of Electrical Engineer from the University of Gent, Belgium, and an MS and PhD from Stanford University. His interests are in networking and distributed systems and he has participated in research projects in areas such as high performance networking, quality of services, wireless networks, and future internet architectures. He is current the principle investigator for the XIA project on future internet architecture. More information can be found on his web site http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~prs |
