  简介:

Abstract:
Laser spectroscopy plays a significant role over a wide range of applications such as combustion and propulsion, environmental monitoring, and biomedical research. In combustion diagnostics and petroleum industries, sensors are installed to monitor key species in processes to understand combustion fundamentals, or to ensure safety and efficiency. Ultra-sensitive and reliable trace gas sensors are required in environmental science to measure greenhouse gases and air pollution, as well as in biomedical research to identify biomarkers related to particular diseases and metabolic disorders. Of various gas sensing strategies, laser absorption spectroscopy provides opportunities with species-specific, non-intrusive, and quantitative measurements of gas molecules. This talk will focus on recent advances in semiconductor laser-based spectroscopy for energy and environmental applications.
