Abstract
As a former PhD candidate, I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to all teachers and colleagues for their transferring knowledge and supervisions when I studied in Tsinghua University, and their kind helps and supports after I graduated.
This seminar talk includes two parts: one involves the developments of numerical methods for linear and nonlinear fluid-structure interaction dynamics with applications in engineering, and another one is for designs of wave energy harvesting devices based on integrated convertor-oscillator-fluid interaction dynamical analysis.
The main points and advances of numerical methods for f-s interaction dynamics will be given, which includes: mixed FEA displacement-pressure model, mixed displacement – BEM model, Mixed FEA-FD model and Mixed-SPM model to deal with linear and nonlinear problems involving breaking waves and f-s separations. Several engineering problems as examples are presented.
Linear and nonlinear oscillators, aerofoils are used to design the wave / fluid energy harvesting devices based on their characteristic behaviours. The resonance of linear system and the flutter of nonlinear system that are to be avoided in the dynamic designs are now tried to be used to harvest fluid energy. The integrated system is an interdisciplinary one concerning the mechanical-electrical coupling and the fluid-structure coupling.
邢景棠:男,1944年生。英籍华人,南安普顿大学教授、应用力学专家、英数学及应用研究院院士。美国ASME流固耦合专业委员会官方委员,国际声音与振动研究院会员,中国力学会、航空学会、振动工程学会会员。
邢景棠敎授1967毕业于西北工业大学航空系,1968-1978期间任航空部结构力学与强度研究所工程师。1984年作为清华大学力学系首批博士生获得工学博士学位,1985年到北京航空航天大学航固体力学研究所,曾任讲师、副教授,教授,于1992年经囯务院学位委员会批准晋升为博士导师。邢景棠教授1989年后多次在英国皇家学会等国际组织资助下访问英国多所大学,并于1995任英国南安普顿大学研究员、高级研究员、首席研究员等职,2004年任南安普顿大学应用力学教授。
邢教授是清华培养的一名国际上知名的应用力学专家。他在流固耦合动力学、动力学的变分原理及应用、振动系统的能流分析、复杂耦合系统动力学及振动控制等领域做出了世界认可的重要贡献,发表论文200余篇。 |
