my research interest lies in the area of energy, water and food, with a particular focus on developing state of art environmental analysis methods and tools to research the environmental life cycle impacts of energy, water and food systems. The results of environmental analysis are used to inform the development of eco-innovative solutions and provide evidence based information to support decision making. My research addresses the key environmental challenges relating to the development of sustainable systems, covering direct and life cycle GHG emissions, local air pollutants, energy use, resource efficiency, and impact on human health. Examples of research include LCA of alternative transport fuels, decentralised water systems, closed the loop waste-energy-food, sustainable bioenergy production, and integration of LCA elements into early research stage.
