The recent direct detection of gravitational waves (GWs) opens a window on the universe. This lecture series starts with the physics of GWs from Einstein’s theory, discusses astrophysical sources of GWs ranging from black holes to inflation and early universe processes. It ends with detectors, including LIGO, Pulsars and CMB.
