  简介:

Abstract
Nanohetero-structures generally incorporate two or more components of different natures, such as metals (conductors), ceramics (insulators), and semiconductors. Many of them have already been practically applied in electronic devices, which is generally accompanied by an outstanding innovation of the devices. For example, magnetic nanohetero-structures have found their applications in the field of magnetic recording. As we know magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJ) has been used as the read head of hard disc drive (HDD), which greatly improved the areal density of HDD. A new type of memory, magnetoresistive random access memory (MRAM) is also under developing based on MTJ. During recent years, varieties of nanohaetero-structures have been designed and fabricated, many interesting interactions and couplings between the components have also been disclosed. In this talk, our recent results related to the design, fabrication and characterization of several magnetic nano-hetero structures will be presented. Especially, the interactions between different components in such structures will be discussed.
