报告摘要: In this talk, I will give an introduction for topological phases of quantum matter. In particular, I will describe the mathematical foundation of topological phases of quantum and their corresponding classification schemes. If time permits, I will mention our recent progress on fermonic topologic phases of quantum matter in 3+1D as well as a potential new understanding for the origin of elementary particles.

报告人简介: Zhengcheng Gu attended college and obtained his Ph.D in Physics from Tsinghua University. He is currently an associate professor at the The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
