Abstract:  I will present few recent works on study of large scale structure formation, 1) the segregation of baryons and dark matter during halo assembly. 2) Ultra diffuse galaxies in LCDM simulation. I will also briefly talk about a couple of ongoing projects being carried in my research group.

Bio:  Prof.Liang Gao received a PhD in Physics at Ludwig-Maxmilians-Universaet Muenchen in 2004, Germany, followed by 2 postdocs at Max Planck institute for Astrophysics and Durham University.  In 2008 he was awarded an STFC Advanced fellowship in UK.  He returned China in early 2009 and started a research group at National Astronomical Observatories.. His main research interests lie in the field of Cosmology, the nature of dark matter, galaxy formation and computer simulation of Cosmic structure formation.
