主讲人：Jeremy Berg
Jeremy M. Berg, Ph.D. became Editor-in-Chief of Science and the Science family of journals in July 2016. He came to Science from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine, where he was Associate Senior Vice Chancellor for Science Strategy and Planning, Pittsburgh Foundation Professor and Director of the Institute for Personalized Medicine. He had also served at Johns Hopkins University for nearly 20 years and the US National Institutes of Health for 8 years as Director of the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.
Jeremy Berg’s research interests include the roles of zinc in proteins including zinc finger proteins, the mechanisms and systems biology of protein targeting to peroxisomes, and the development of detailed thermodynamic understanding of molecular recognition processes. He has been recognized for his accomplishments with awards including the American Chemical Society Award in Pure Chemistry, the Eli Lilly Award for Fundamental Research in Biological Chemistry, selection as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and election to the National Academy of Medicine. He served as President of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from 2011-2013.
