The investigation of high efficiency, long lifetime QLEDs with tailored nanostructure and the positive aging effect in QLEDs

Abstract:
Semiconductor quantum dots have been intensively investigated because of their unique optical properties, including size-controlled tunable emission wavelength, narrow emission spectra, high luminescent efficiency and colloidal-based synthesis process. All these attractive characteristics make quantum dots excellent candidates for the development of next generation display technologies. First I will report a full series of blue, green and red quantum dot based light emitting devices (QLEDs), all with high external quantum efficiencies over 10 %. All the QLEDs are solution-processed for ease of mass production, and have low turn-on voltages and saturated pure colors. The green and red devices exhibit lifetimes of more than 90,000 and 300,000 hours, respectively. Secondly, I will give a brief introduction about the Blackcow Yungu Technology and the latest 6th generation AMOLED product line in Gu’an, Hebei. I will also give a brief introduction about the Institute of Advanced Display in Gu’an. We are looking for outstanding M.S. and Ph.D. graduates majored in the related fields with very competitive salary and benefit.

Biography:

I currently work at the Institute of Advanced Display Technology in Visionox/GVO/Blackcow Food Company Limited as the project director of advanced technology sourcing. I received my Ph.D. degree in Applied Physics from University of Rochester in April, 2015. My thesis is about the interface and device studies of OLEDs and perovskite solar cell. From April 2015 to April 2016, I worked in UC Irvine as an assistant specialist to collaborate with TOSHIBA healthcare North American to develop the high resolution, low dose, dual energy CT X-ray source. From April 2016 to June 2017, I worked in Nanophotonica Inc. as a Sr. R&D engineer to investigate the lifetime issue and degradation mechanism of QLEDs. Nanophotonica Inc. was acquired by Samsung Electronics in January, 2017. I have published 30 peer-reviewed paper, one book chapter published by Wiley, with nearly 1500 citations.
