Yuanqing Lin is now the Founder & CEO of Aibee. He received Master degree in Optical Engineering from Tsinghua University and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Pennsylvania. Before joining Baidu, he was the Head of Media Analysis Department of NEC Labs America, working on large-scale fine-grained image recognition and 3D visual sensing for autonomous driving. In November 2015, he joined the Institute of Deep Learning (IDL) at Baidu, leading IDL to develop dominant-level AI technologies. Under his leadership, the team not only produced top-notch research results but also worked closely with product teams inside Baidu to constantly iterate and improve technologies. With its strong contribution to company’s core value, IDL doubled its size in 2016. He was appointed as the Director of Deep Learning National Engineering Lab in 2017. From March of 2017, he started serving as the Head of Baidu Research and being responsible for managing the four labs: IDL, Big Data Lab (BDL), Augmented Reality Lab (ARL), and Silicon Valley Artificial Intelligence Lab (SVAIL). He resigned from Baidu in September 2017 to start Aibee. He served as area chair of NIPS 2015 & 2017 and co-chair of International Workshop on Large Scale Visual Recognition and Retrieval 2012.

Silvio Savarese is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University and director of the SAIL-Toyota Center for AI Research at Stanford. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 2005 and was a Beckman Institute Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2005–2008. He joined Stanford in 2013 after being Assistant and then Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, from 2008 to 2013. His research interests include computer vision, robotic perception and machine learning. He is recipient of several awards including a Best Student Paper Award at CVPR 2016, the James R. Croes Medal in 2013, a TRW Automotive Endowed Research Award in 2012, an NSF Career Award in 2011 and Google Research Award in 2010. In 2002 he was awarded the Walker von Brimer Award for outstanding research initiative.
