In this talk, Thomas and Antoine will share the following applications of remote sensing in urban areas:

a)     Vegetation in very high resolution images with CNN: application to satellite and aerial images in Rennes and Paris;

b)    Characterizing urban morphology change: application to the monitoring of Beijing old city's dynamics from 1966 to 2015;

c)     Monitoring urban sprawl at national/European scale: application to France based SPOT and LANSDAT mission archives from 1985 to 2015.
