He is since 2007 Head of the Department of Ecosystem Analysis at the Institute for Environmental Research, RWTH Aachen University and recently Vice Dean of the ABBt - Aachen Biology and Biotechnology

Research interests:

l  bioanalytical environmental toxicology

l  aquatic toxicology

l  development and validation of in vitro bioassays

l  sediment and soil toxicology
