Ultracold atoms in optical lattices form useful model systems for studying a wide range of many-body physics, including strongly correlated systems with unconventional transport properties. Using a microscope with single-atom resolution, we measure spin transport in the Fermi-Hubbard model using ultracold fermionic 40K atoms in an optical lattice. We measure spin diffusion and conduction in a Mott insulator, and find that the dynamics is driven by super-exchange at strong interactions. The results are compared with numerical linked-cluster expansion (NLCE) calculations of the spin transport coefficients.
