Abstract:
       Organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cell is a new type of thin film photovoltaic technology and has achieved extraordinary improvements in power conversion efficiency in a relatively short time. It has potential to be a high efficiency, low cost alternative photovoltaic technology. The solution based system is attractive for processing of devices using a variety of techniques, such as printing, and it can be readily made into flexible solar cells on plastic substrates.  However,  there  are  a  number  of  challenges  before  the  technology's commercialization, for example, difficulties in forming good quality large area thin films, internal ion movements, device stability and lead poisoning etc. In this presentation, I will talk about some recent progress in dealing with these challenges and introduce activities in scaling up perovskite solar cell modules, including the work at Wuhan University of Technology.

Biography:
  程一兵，武汉理工大学硅酸盐建筑材料国家重点实验室“千人计划”教授，澳大利亚Monash大学材料科学与工程系客座教授、澳大利亚工程院院士。1978年毕业于武汉建材学院(现武汉理工大学)，1983年于武汉工业大学(现武汉理工大学)获工程硕士学位，1989年6月于英国纽卡斯尔大学获博士学位，1988年10月至1991年9月在英国纽卡斯尔大学从事博士后研究。 1991年10月至2018年3月，在澳大利亚 Monash大学任讲师、高级讲师、副教授、教授，其间于2004至2006年任Monash大学工学院副院长。2007至2013年兼任澳大利亚维多利亚州有机太阳能电池研究中心首席研究员，2013至2017年兼任澳大利亚国家先进太阳能电池研究中心Monash大学分中心主任，2017至今兼任澳大利亚研究基金委激子科学研究中心研究员。目前主要研究高性能薄膜钙钛矿电池，包括柔性钙钛矿太阳能电池、透明钙钛矿太阳能电池、钙钛矿/硅叠层太阳能电池等。已培养博士后、博士生七十多名，发表研究论文五百多篇，专利二十余项。
