简介: |
In my talk, I will first review the progress on black-hole accretion disk models in the past 45 years. By taking the thermal equilibrium into consideration, I will discuss the physical reason for outflows in accretion systems. In addition, I will briefly introduce our recent works on the applications of accretion models to ultraluminous X-ray sources and gamma-ray bursts.
BIO Wei-Min Gu obtained his bachelor degree and PhD degree from University of Science and Technology of China in 1996 and 2001, respectively. He spent one year as a postdoc at CEA-Saclay, France, and two years as a postdoc at Xiamen University. In 2004 he became a faculty at Department of Physics in Xiamen University. Currently, he is a professor at Department of Astronomy in Xiamen University. His research interests focus on the theory of black-hole accretion disks and its application to high-energy astrophysics. |
