J-S Jacques, chief executive of Rio Tinto, a global metals and mining company with

operations in 35 countries, will outline some of the major trends influencing global business and political leaders in the 21st Century and offer some perspectives on how leaders can best shape strategy and policies to deliver inclusive growth in an era where environmental concerns are rising, where geopolitics is becoming more challenging, where supply chains are more integrated than ever, where technology and social media are disrupting the way we communicate and where reputation for ‘doing good’ matters more and more.  In short, how do leaders thrive in the New Era

演讲人简介：

夏杰思（JS Jacques）于2016年7月起担任力拓集团首席执行官，同时担任董事会执行董事。在此之前，他担任力拓铜与煤炭集团首席执行官，领导了该产品集团的转型，将业务的重心重新聚焦到最高质量的资产上，并且在安全和现金流表现方面取得重大改进。

夏杰思的职业生涯始于化妆品巨头欧莱雅在印尼的公司。在加入力拓之前，夏杰思已经在铝、铝土矿和钢铁行业多个运营和管理职位上积累超过15年的工作经验，涉及业务遍布欧洲、东南亚、印度和美国。

夏杰思对地缘政治和经济问题的见解，在矿业以及其他更广泛的领域里也备受尊重和关注。

Jean-Sébastien Jacques was appointed chief executive of Rio Tinto in July 2016. Before that he was chief executive of the Copper & Coal group, where he led the transformation of the group and delivered a step-change in both safety and cash performance while reshaping the portfolio to focus on a core of the highest-quality assets.

JS started his career in Indonesia with cosmetics giant L'Oreal. Prior to joining Rio Tinto, Jean-Sébastien spent more than 15 years working in various roles across Europe, South East Asia, India and the US. He covered a wide range of operational and functional positions for the aluminium, bauxite and steel industries.

JS is also highly respected for his thought leadership across a wide range of geopolitical and economic issues within the mining industry and more broadly.
