Profile of Dr. Satoru Tezuka

He joined Hitachi Ltd. in 1984, worked at Micro-electronics Devices Development Lab., then currently working at Systems Development Lab. as the manager of 7th Research Dept. He studied operating systems, device drivers, LAN systems. His current research and development area is mainly information security systems, especially electronic authentication systems.

 

ABSTRACT

In many countries, e-Government systems and e-Authentication infrastructures have been planned, developed and operated. E-Government systems are expected as not only inner- or inter-government operation, but also government-residence services or even catalyst for promoting business in private sector. E-Government systems would cover central government and local government, would have interconnection to systems of other countries in some cases. E-Government systems would deal privacy sensitive information, so trust and security of the system is one of the major requirements, and giving authentication infrastructure is a key feature in many cases. Situation of e-Government in Japan or some other countries and Hitachi’s contribution for them are introduced in the talk.
