Prof.Seung-Jae Lee received his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, Korea and his Ph.D. from University of Washington, Seattle, USA. Since 1988, he has been with MyongjiUniversity, Korea as a Professor at the department of Electrical Engineering. He was the director of Next-generation Power Technology Center (NPTC) and chairman of IEC TC-57 Korea Committee, Korea and the first chairman of Power System Protection and Control Engineering Society in Korea and a chairman of IEEE PES Korea chapter. He is a founder of International Conference on Advanced Power system Automation and Protection (APAP) that started in 2004. His main research fields are protection relaying, substation automation and distribution automation.
