报告摘要(ABSTRACT): Small animal positron emission tomography (PET) is a critical molecular imaging tool in biomedical research. This talk will introduce two small animal PET prototype systems (PETbox4 and HiPET) developed at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). PETbox4 is a benchtop, compact PET scanner designed and optimized for mouse imaging. It consists of four flat-panel type detectors made by pixelated BGO scintillator crystals arranged in a box-like geometry. The peak absolute sensitivity of the PETbox4 ranges from 9.3% to 18.1%, and the average image spatial resolution is 1.5 mm. The HiPET system employs dual layer LYSO/BGO phoswich detectors to permit depth of interaction (DOI) and cross layer crystal scatter (CLCS) measurement. It achieves submillimeter and uniform spatial resolution over the imaging FOV and a superior sensitivity ranging from 10.4% to 18.6%. The PETbox4 and HiPET technologies have been translated by Sofie Biosciences, Inc. to three commercial scanners: G4 PET/X-RAY, G8 PET/CT and GNEXT PET/CT. Over the past decade, more than 60 units of these commercial scanners are in operation in laboratories around the world, including several top research institutes such as Stanford University, University of California San Francisco, City of Hope hospital, etc. Researchers have published over 100 scientific papers with images and data acquired from these scanners. 报告人简介(BIO): 顾峥,深圳湾实验室生物医学工程研究所特聘研究员。2008年本科毕业于清华大学工程物理系,2014年在美国加州大学洛杉矶分校(University of California Los Angeles, UCLA) 获得博士学位,2014-2020年在加州大学洛杉矶分校先后担任博士后研究员、副项目科学家、项目科学家。此外,顾峥在2015-2020年期间兼职担任美国Sofie Biosciences公司的高级成像科学家。顾峥的研究领域主要包括高分辨率、高灵敏度的临床及临床前正电子发射断层成像(Positron Emission Tomography, PET)技术的研究,共发表论文22篇,获得美国专利1项,其中以第一作者发表7篇论文在Journal of Nuclear Medicine、Physics in Medicine and Biology、IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science等学术期刊。 “论坛”主请人联系方式: 马天予 maty@tsinghua.edu.cn
