报告摘要ABSTRACT

Positron emission tomography (PET) is a molecular imaging technique that was first developed at Washington University in St. Louis in 1970’s. Since its invention, PET has evolved from a research tool available only in selected medical centers to become widely available in many hospitals for the detection of cancer metastasis and monitoring of treatment response. We have seen many technological advances in the past 4 decades in PET, with the latest breakthrough in total-body PET imaging via the Explorer PET/CT scanner. The Explorer offers a 2-meter long axial field-of-view to provide an ultra-high sensitivity for PET imaging. In this talk, we will review the technical advances in PET and introduce new capabilities that are being developed at the Washington University in St. Louis in this post-Explorer Era.

  

报告人简介BIO

江建勇,博士,北京师范大学核科学与技术学院副教授20107月和20127月在清华大学工程物理系取得学士和硕士学位20159月在日本东京大学取得博士学位,并于201510月至202011月,先后在日本放射线综合医学研究所、美国圣路易斯华盛顿大学从事博士后研究,主要研究方向是新型高分辨率PET系统的研发。
