Abstract: Graph neural networks are a new class of neural network architecture which had been proposed to deal with data sets which are most conveniently modelled using graphs rather than vectors. In this talk we will present the graph neural network architecture, and we will present a number of applications to-date.
Brief Biography of Professor TSOI Ah-Chung
Professor Tsoi Ah-Chung studied Electronic Engineering at the Hong Kong Technical College (graduated in 1969); Electronic Control Engineering (graduated in 1970) and Control Engineering (graduated in 1972) at University of Salford, England. Since graduation, he worked as a post doctoral fellow at the Inter-University Institute of Engineering Control at University College of North Wales, Bangor, North Wales, a lecturer at Paisley College of Technology, Paisley, Scotland, before emmigrating to New Zealand. He worked as a Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Auckland, before emmigrating to Australia. He worked as a Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering, University College University of New South Wales for 5 years. He then served as Professor of Electrical Engineering at University of Queensland, Australia; Dean, and simultaneously Director of Information Technology Services, and then foundation Pro-Vice Chancellor (Information Technology and Communications) at University of Wollongong; before joining the Australian Research Council as an Executive Director, Mathematics, Information and Communications Sciences. He was Director, Monash e-Research Centre, Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. In April 2007, Professor Tsoi took up the position of Vice President (Research and Institutional Advancement), Hong Kong Baptist University, Hong Kong.
Professor Tsoi works in the area of artificial intelligence in particular neural networks and fuzzy systems in recent years. He has published in neural network literature. In more recent years, Professor Tsoi works in the application of neural networks to graph domains, with applications to the world wide web searching, and ranking problems, sub-graph matching problem.
Professor Tsoi is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers and Technologists, UK. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australia. |
